Holiday parties are a great time to reunite with your family while dining on delicious food and exchanging gifts. But sometimes you may want to find ways to shake it up and have some fun. Party games are the classic solution to this problem. Here are seven holiday party games that the whole family will love.

1. Sticker Stalker

This game will be played over the whole party. Get the game started by giving every partygoer 10 stickers (or less if you have a huge party), which will be used to sneakily stick on others without them noticing. If they get caught, however, the target will put the sticker on them instead. The winner will be the person to get rid of all 10 stickers first.

2. Guess How Many

With this game, you’ll want to prepare ahead of time by getting a jar or vase and filling it with candies, ornaments, or any small items that could be counted. Count the number of items you’re putting in the jar, and then challenge every partygoer to guess how many are in the jar. You can make this game rewarding by giving away small prizes to the people who guess the closest!

3. Mr. Freeze

Designate one person to be “Mr. Freeze.” Then have everyone who is playing go about the party as they usually would. Pay attention to Mr. Freeze, however, because when they freeze, everyone else must freeze too. Whoever freezes last is out of the game. Continue the game for the whole party until there’s a winner!

4. I Spy

This one is especially kid friendly, and you may already know of it from the classic books. One person will pick something in the room and describe it in the format of “I spy with my little eye something blue.” Everyone will guess what it is by asking yes or no questions. Whoever guesses the object can win a prize or be the next Spyer.

5. Charades

Charades is a classic game that can be adjusted to fit any age group. You can make it even more custom by asking everyone to submit their own words or phrases and submit them to be drawn randomly when it’s your turn. Plus you can match the theme to whatever holiday you’re celebrating!

6. Candy Cane Hunt

This would be another hit with the kids. Similarly to how you hide Easter eggs, the goal would be to hide candy canes around for your guests to find. However, don’t hide them too well in case you forget about them!

7. Newlywed Game (Family Edition)

With this game, you can pair up your family in ways such as cousins, father and son, niece and aunt, or however you feel would be fun duos. Then have the pairs write up a list of questions to ask the others. Examples include: What’s your favorite cereal? What’s your favorite Christmas song? What is your dream vacation? See how well each pair knows each other and see if they give the right answer! Like all the other games, you can make this more rewarding by giving away small prizes to the winners.
